Goldfish with Hillstream Loach Fry

MrFishkeeper1

If I were to keep a larger school of hillstream loach in with goldfish and the hillstream loach were to breed and some eggs somehow made it through and fry hatched would the goldfish choke on the babies and cause both fish to die or would the baby loaches and goldfish be safe?

Think the fry would just get eaten. Most fish like free snacks like that.

But do they grow quickly to get to a size that the goldfish wouldn't eat them and I read that loaches have a barb/spine that thye use in defense is this not in hillstream loaches or does it not really work while being eaten?

I don't know the specifics of all that. Or hiw fast they grow. I just know thats what often happens! Might be best to seperate the fry to a growout tank and avoid the possible issues altogether.
