I have 2 rescued feeder goldfish. I recently removed one of them and put him into a quarantine tank because of fin rot and cloudy eyes. Since then, everyday now my healthy fish is trying to fight the current and swim into the outlet pipe of my sponge filter. It almost seems like he's looking for his lost buddy. Kind of sad. I have a video below showing this. It pretty much goes on all day till I turn the lights out. Is this unhealthy? Will it eventually harm him or will it be ok?

Stick some course mesh or screening over the pipe, then don’t worry about. Mine 8” common will do it when he wants to go for a good swim. He’ll stick his nose in like that, then when he’s good he’ll swim off. At least that’s my experience with it.
