SwI'm bladder is when a bubble of air gets trapped in the swim bladder of a fish, causing them to float and loose control of their swimming. Epsom salt is believed to help alleviate this but the fish will have to pass the air on it’s owb. If your fish is mortally injured and in pain from the incident you should consider euthanasia with clove oil

It's not a good sign..

About the only time I ever find a fish stuck to my filter is when it's too weak to swim free, sick or dying.

Sorry about your fish.

A healthy goldfish shouldn't get stuck to a filter. It was likely already unwell.
Could we have a bit more information about the tank and fish?
What are the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels?
What is the full stocking of the tank and tank size?
What have you been feeding him?
How long have you had him?
Have you noticed any other issues with him or his tankmates?
Have you changed anything in the tank recently?

You really need to get your parameters tested. If you can’t get the kit right away at least tell us what size tank it is and what your water change schedule is. Bad water quality is reversible
