Goldfish pond drying up, how to save them?

I stocked my pond with cheap comet goldfish this last winter (to eat mosquito larvae and other bugs), only fifteen, yet now they have bred and I have maybe a hundred or more!!
The problem is, in our HOT (100+ degrees Fahrenheit) California sun, the pond is slowly drying up.
I want to rescue as many goldfish as possible... anyone have any ideas what I can keep them in?

Should I try getting those big storage bins and sticking five or so in each? I know I won’t be able to rescue them all, but I will try!!

I also have a few who are about the size of koi now! Those will be hard to find a place for!! How many gallons would you suggest for a single 8 inch long goldfish?

It cost too much money to fill the pond with water, or else we would.

I'm afraid that with goldfish even for the smaller ones you would need a tank that's a minimum of 40-75 gallons for just two or three. Then of course you would need to fill all of those and add some sort of filtration for all of them. Theyre really meant to be pond fish, tanks that are big enough for them aren't cheap and even small water changes will be at least 10 gallons per tank.
Some people use the framed intex pools which may be a good alternative to tanks but that is still going to be a lot of water. You would also need to have the space for several pools.
I think it may be the most cost effective to just sell or give away as many as you can. You can look into local fish stores and see if any will take them- they will have an easier time selling them.

Perhaps you can use marketplace? Or Facebook marketplace. You can advertise them online or give them away for free. Atleast they will survive that way.

how big is the pond? maybe you can put some shade clothe over the pond to help cool and reduce evaporation.

The larger comets will have to stay in the pond unless you get a large above ground intex pool

or 300 gallon livestock stock tank.

the smaller ones can go in 55 gallon storage bins. HDX 55 Gal. Tough Storage Tote in Black-HDX55GONLINE(4) - The Home Depot

A 40 gallon breeder will do nicely for a single 8" goldfish.

Okay, thank you everyone!! I will try to catch as many as possible and post ads on Facebook or eBay or something, and get a HUGE tank to keep my favorites in until the pond gets more water.
I will also try to calculate the price of adding just enough water to the pond to sustain the big comets.

Sadly, the pond is much too big to put any shade over

Not ideal, but you could also drop them off at a LFS.

We sadly don’t have any local fish stores nearby.
We had one a few years back, but the lady who owned/ran it got a better offer somewhere else

You could put an ad up on here under the buy/sell/trade section. I know you have to have 50 messages for that though.
