Goldfish Ich?

Hello everyone.
My fiancee and I bought a Black Moor goldfish and we honestly didn't know anything about goldfish. But I've been doing research and I'll be getting him a bigger tank. But a few days after we brought him home (about two weeks) he grew white spots on his head. From what I pulled up it says it could be cig. But a friend told me that it could be breeding tubercles if he is a male (I have just assumed since day one our goldfish is a "he") can someone tell me if the spots on his head are breeding tubercles or ich please so I can address it immediately.

Also, these two spots are the only white spots him.

Is this his current home?
No bubbler, no filtration?
Also, did he have friends in the store and now he is alone?
Goldfish want to be with their own kind.

This is his current home until Thursday. I'll be getting a bigger tank with a filtration system. When we bought him the lady at the pet store told us that he didn't need a filtration. And what I read online as long as you keep his bowl clean twice a week it's okay not to have one. And Ive been doing that but I'm getting him a bigger tank with a filtration system. He was in a tank with other goldfish. Fancy goldfish and one other black moor. When I took these pics, I had just fed him. I'm just worried it might be ich. If it is I want to take care of it now before it gets worse

The people at the store gave you wrong advice.
Goldfish are heavy ammonia producers and the uneaten food would add even more to it.
He is swimming around and breathing in his own urine and feces for how many hours until he gets fresh water?
He is gasping near surface water probably inhaling air causing him more health issues than just ich.
Imagine if you don't change a baby's diaper after they urinate into it, leaving the burning on the skin for 2 days, while in the meantime you keep feeding the baby more food and adding feces on top of it. Then think it's okay to leave this on the skin for 2-3 days...

You might want to bust out your credit card and get this taken care of immediately.
Also, meds don't work in stagnant water, you would need at least a small bubbler/ air filter to keep the water moving so the liquid doesn't sink unless you want to sit there all day and stir a bowl.

If I were you I'd bring the fish back to the store right away until I'd have the proper set-up for a goldfish, which ideally is a 250 gallon pond with lots of friends.
(I know, they don't tell you this at the pet store)

Good Luck, bud.

So true about the pet stores! I hate how they don't tell you what the fish really need. I come across people who just want a sale, and people who want to be a know it all. Occasionally, I have that one enthusiastic worker who actually cares about the fish, knows their stuff, and gives good advice. But yes, it's very common. I recommend this to all - don't buy the fish unless you truly researched. Some people just want your money - simple.

And agreed 100% with you, couldn't say it better

Hi..either make a new post on here asking or google (quite a bit)cause some people ars wrong on how many gallon tank you need for 1 black moor.. but yes you can home 1 in an aquarium.. How big of a tank are you getting? It does have to be a decent size, and filter also..You can also google things like caring for a black moor, look up black moor's on here..and Definitly look up cycling a tank with fish since itll be in there.I have a 75 gallon and a 55 gallon with fancy goldfish. The internet is a wonderful thing,lol..oh and Definitly get an API mater test kit to test the water, you have a lot of reading to do
