Goldfish Fry

kelseypsaila

Hi all!

I am kind of a beginner with aquariums so I started off with Goldfish. I have 2 males and 2 females. I noticed that they where spawning so I placed them in a hatching tank so as soon as they are ready I'll remove them so the parents wont eat the eggs. So it's day 2 of the eggs and some of them started to hatch, but now I have the other female fish laying the eggs. Can I hand breed the fish in the same fry tank? Or will the hatched fry nibble on the new fertilized eggs?

Thanks in advance

Thats a toss-up there. They might, but then again, how many babies do you want to have to try figuring out something to do with them?

I guess the more the merrier. I haven't had much luck in the past with babies so I guess I'll try and save the most of them.
