Goldfish Emergancy

Hello, today I found one of my new comet goldfish outside of the tank. He seems ok and is active. But his top fin is gone, and his once long back fin is smaller. He is having a little trouble swimming. Is he going to be ok? I've had the fish for 1 night, in a 30 gallon tank. The water has been tested and it is good, and there is a pretty nice filter in there. I spot clean the tank every so often, and pick up all the leftover food. I have 3 other goldfish in the tank, 2 smaller comets, and 1 small oranda. The comets are new so they are still adjusting, but the oranda has been in there for over a week. I put a before and after photo.

Fins will grow back, just make sure water quality stays pristine. I would do daily wc to keep it that way. Any idea why it jumped?

He is doing a lot better now. I cycled the tank (for a long time) and did a water test 2 days ago. I am going to upgrade the tank when they start to mature (since they are all pretty young) I am going to place a better lid on the tank to prevent this from happening. Thank you so much for the advise!

I am still not sure why he jumped since the water has been tested and the tank has been cycled. I'm gonna put a good lid on the tank from now on. Thank you for the help!

Jumping is also a symptom of parasites, which he likely has, as well as the other tank inhabitants of the are new and from a pet store or a not well kept tank. I suggest you get a wide range parasite treatment. An effective, safe, wide ranged treatment I highly recommend is Minn Finn, you can get it for 16 bucks off of aquanooga.
