So read several articles but would like some live input. I'm rehoming my 5" (body length ) oranda fancy goldfish and common pleco. Potential new home has both a 75 gallon and a 90 gallon tank with young koI and carp. Good idea or bad for my fish? I know long run they should be putting them in a pond which would let them grow big enough to eat my goldfish.

KoI and Carp grow bigger and are stronger/faster then fancy goldfish. I've seen some people with both housed together, but i'd advise against it. Both the carp and koI will need all the space they can get anyways.

I agree with bellachan, in addition it's difficult to ensure that fancy goldies get enough to eat in a tank filled with faster fish. Also, what's to ensure that this new owner will rehome the koI and carp to a pond? Not saying they're not trustworthy, but maybe it'd be more beneficial for your fish to look around for someone who has a set-up that is more ideal.
