Gold Medaka Rice Fish with a lump

ArcadiaVince

Tank information:
36L tank running for about 5 months.
Started with the default filter with activated carbon pellets. Switched to a double sponge filter about 2 months ago.
There is a heater keeping the water at a constant 24 degrees Celcius.
Tankmates include: 4 other golden ricefish, 4 blue grass guppy, 2 platinum rummynose tetra, 2 oto catfish, 4 cherry shrimp, 3-4 orange eye blue tiger shrimps, and a handful of ramshorn snails.

The tank is cycled before adding any fish/invertabrate.
Using Seachem Ammonia alert, pH monitor, and API 5 in 1 water test strips to monitor water parameter. About 80 GH and KH, pH of 6.8, and about 0 Nitrate/Nitrite

Water change happens once/twice per week. If it is once, then 30% change. If it is twice, 20% each time. Fresh de-chlorinated water (using Seachem Prime) is then slowly dripped back to fill the tank up again. I use a siphon to siphon up all the particles in the gravel in open areas of the tank where it is more accessible but will do a thorough vacuum throughout the tank maybe once every 2 months.
Will add 10 drops of Dennerle shrimp king humin fluid once a week.
I will also add a very small amount of API aquarium salt once a month no more than a few small pieces.

Fish are fed about twice/thrice a day. Hikari pellets/frozen bloodworm in the morning, blanched spinach/zucchini at noon/evening. If they are fed a third time, it will only be a small number of pellets.. half or less than the usual amount. All food (except for fresh veggies, which will take longer for the fish to tear apart and consume) are consumed within the first few minutes.
Occasionally (maybe once a week), I will break down one spirulina algae wafer into about 4 different smaller pieces for them to much on throughout the day.
Recently added live brine shrimp to the mix

The ricefish were introduced exactly a month ago and it was only today when I noticed the lump when I happen to see the fish from above before performing water change.
It looks like a small lump that is slightly lighter colored.
While investigating if this is a potential infection/disease/injury, I have quarantineed the fish and gave it some melafix for an hour. He has been released back to the tank now as he exhibits signs of stress being in a small container.
No noticeable change in fish behavior and has been eating normally.

Contacted the aquarium shop and the owner does not think that it is bacterial infection as there will usually be red inflammation or scales being upturned.
He suspected that is just cyst.
Anyone here had a case of this before?
Advice/guidance is appreciated. Thanks.
