What kind of goldfish are you thinking of? Also what size tank?? As for water changes.. yes unless it is planted extremely heavy!! It all depends on the scenario!!

Okay, so say you have a goldfish in a 10 gallon tank BUT you keep the water parameters perfect (which would be nearly impossible because goldfish are massive waste producers and it’s often hard to cycle a tank that is simply too small for them), the fish will still end up having stunted growth often resulting in uncomfortable deformities (certain parts of the fish will continue to grow while others do not). So to answer your first question, it’s never a good idea to keep a fish in a tank that is too small for it to grow to it’s fullest potential even if you keep the water pristine.

To answer your second question, for the most part you still need to do the same amount of water changes. UNLESS your tank is heavily planted you could probably do a water change every other week, but just because you have some plants doesn’t mean they’re improving your water quailty enough to cut down on water changes.

Goldfish can be kept temporarily in smaller tanks with good parameters, but the confined space will lead to stunted growth.

I am Planning to add 20 gallon H aquarium in My Drawing room For 2 Babby Pearl Scales, Because my other Goldie Tank i.e 35 Gallon H ,Is Already Full.
My plants went from green to Brown, the reason maybe I think is frequent Water Changes to Get optimum water Conditions
