Gold Algae Eater!!

lol have any of you ever seen this?!?!



I think it's a type of oto. They're about the same size, look very similar except for their wonderful color!!

I now know what I'm getting for my next tank!!!

Wow lovely! Too bad they get so big, I would want them passionately if they were Otto size

They're pretty close! Most places that sell otos say they are 1"-2". These are 1"-2.5".....

Next tank I get..... mwuahahaha!

Hmm, the link you posted says they get to up to a foot long...ah to have that much tank room!!!

hahaha WOW!! I must have missed that little ' ..... 1" to 1' is a BIG difference!!! But man, that would be a cool fish to have!!

I hate to burst your bubble twice, but that is a type of CAE(chinese algae eater) and they grow to 1'(1 foot). They can get really aggresive and lazy when fully grown. They do a great job on the algae though when they are small.

lol yeah, I already said I didn't notice the 1 foot instead of 1 inch thing.... DUH, Tom! Sheesh.

I like to burst peoples bubbles, it's fun for me. That's just where I gave up reading and decided to type instead.

Those are cool and in a big tank, I bet they'd look great.

lol yeah!! That's the ticket.

I do this they would look awesome. A big, bright, yellow algae sucker, one foot long, sucking on your glass!!!

Unitl it starts going after your fish and trying to suck on their slime coating.

it says they can be kept in a 30 gal. tank ???
