Long story short, I have to go on a road trip up to Pennsylvania for around 4 days. My sister is getting a dog for her birthday, and since I'm highly allergic to dogs(wheezing, sneezing, watery eyes, if I'm around them too long I have trouble breathing) we are getting a Kerry blue terrier. Our current dog was supposed to be non-shedding(a shizu mix) but turned out to be a Tibetan spaniel mix, which of course means he sheds. I'm all for adopting, I was encouraging my mom to do so, but she said she can't risk me and my allergies. So basically, the breeder we're getting this dog from is a snow bird(only lives in Florida during the winter) so she is going back up north soon. She has to get this dogs ears set or something like that, so she won't let us have the dog now. We have to travel up to PA memorial weekend to meet her(can you tell I really don't want another dog?)This leaves the question, what to do with the baby fish?
I'm not worried about my bigger fish, it's the babies I'm concerned about. I have 2 spawns of betta's and a goldfish spawn that get fed BBS and microworms, I can't trust someone I barely know to do that for me. Staying home isn't an option(I've begged and pleaded), so since I can't trust our pet-sitter I have no idea what to do. I'm going to see if my neighbors can do it(I trust them, they know how picky I am with my fish) but if they can't I need a plan. Thoughts?
