Glue wood to glass?

Hi everyone, I have a beautiful big piece of wood (the one on the left) that won't sink. I have tried tiying it to a lot of rock but it still floats. My last option would be to glue it to the bottom glass, would aquarium safe silicone or a lot of Seachem superglue work? That piece of wood is extremely light so I assume is full of air so it has a lot of buoyancy.
Any help will be very appreciated, I've been literally more than a week trying to find a way to keep that thing from floating

might just have to let it sit in a bucket of water with a large rock or something on top of it holding it down for weeks on end. How long has it been in water? You could also try getting a much larger rock than the one you have it tied to. Like a large piece of slate?

People do sometimes glue wood to a slate tile for a base for those really stubborn pieces of wood.

I don't have a bucket that big, I thought 5 kilos of rock was gonna be enough to keep it down.
I have some tiles at home but I don't think those are heavier than all the rock I tied to the bottom of the wood.
That's why I'm thinking my last resource will be to glue it to the bottom glass, any advice on this?

You could attach a tile and then bury the tile under the substrate. Hopefully the weight of the tile plus the substrate on top of it will hold it down until it’s waterlogged.

Either way, i don't suggest gluing to the glass. Seems like an awfully permanent solution to a temporary problem.

I wouldn’t glue to the glass.
In my last two scapes, I’ve screwed the wood to clean slate tile pieces using stainless steel screws. Then put the slate under the substrate. Worked great for this large piece in my 40 b.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with gluing anything. Though they do make aquarium glue, so I guess it would be safe?? Worst thing that can happen is it doesn't hold it down and it comes back up to the surface! You might end up with glue residue on the bottom of your tank, but it'll be covered up anyways so I doubt it'll matter
