I am 6 months or so new to the hobby. When I bought my fish I had purchase 2 glow sharks a cat fish and 3 Serpea tetra. I also have about 5 guppies! (They breed very quickly so I put some I. My sones take he has all guppies) I have since learned Ine shark for my 55 gallon tank ( not that the pet store told me ) One is huge! For the life of me I can not catch either of them to put In my sons 50 Gallon tank! Will it be ok to leave them both or any tips on how to catch them ? The small one hides a lot and the large one dominates the tank. They seem better when the top light is off and just the bubbler/light bar is on.

Using two nets instead of one can be super helpful to catch them

I really think you should try again to catch one of the sharks and move it to the other tank. Or the smaller one could end up dead. two nets and two people may help.

Thank you all for the advise. It took some patience but I did catch it yesterday and put it in the other tank. However I forgot about my sons blue crab and find myself checking on him all the time. I did move his new found hide out to the opposite side of the tank so we will see. I think I have a weird emotional attachment to my fish . My little shark is now very happy and times the whole tank instead of just a corner
Happy Fish
Seems to be adjusting

sounds great, I was wondering if the little shark was scared or just shy. It sounds like you did the right thing.

Is the little catfish a corydoras? I think they need to be in groups to be comfortable.

Panda Cory yes. Unfortunately it is the only one that survived when I got them and the pet store closest to me does not carry them. I purchased them when visiting my daughter (unfortunately she is 3 hours away) But my next visit I can get more. This one is very active and quite entertaining
