glofish fin injury

Today I found one of my glofish swimming in place just below the water surface. One of his side fins is red right where the fin connects to the body. His injured fin allows him to swim in place or swim around a little, but he doesn't swim around the tank like the rest of the glofish.

I have him in a 24 gallon tank with 4 other glofish, a guppy, and snails. The chase each other sometimes, but they don't nip at fins. Is this fin damage repairable? Should I put him in quarantine and add medication? The only medication I have right now is BETTAFIX, which heals damaged fins and skin. The active ingredient is Melaleuca 0.2%. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yup I agree with Alyeskagirl. Lots of clean water and stress coat ought to heal him up real fast.

Unfortunately my glofish died overnight. I still can't figure out how his fin got injured. Thanks for the advice though.

I'm very sorry you lost him. Glofish are so active it's hard to tell what might have gone wrong.
