HI guys. We were just chatting on an unrelated thread about this, so I figured it would be a nice poll in its own rights: how many countries have you visited? I guess those of you who live in large countries like the US are at a slight disadvantage, because I live in a small country in Europe, so I am 2 hours from about 5 countries only driving! Airport stop-overs don't count. You must have stepped out of the airport.

OK, I'll try to count for me:

1/ Luxembourg
2/ Belgium
3/ Netherlands
4/ Switzerland
5/ UK
6/ Ireland
7/ US
8/ Canada
9/ Sweden
10/ Germany
11/ Morocco
12/ Spain
13/ Italy
14/ France
15/ Australia
16/ Andorra
17/ Monaco
18/ Vatican city

So I think that's 18. I'll add if I think of more.

Ooooh, but I need to edit the poll, as technically, you should be in the first category. Hang on. There you go. Done!

It is very beautiful and peaceful(or at least the parts I visited). I have been on the Alps and my dad went up the Maderhorn(?). I was 5 when he did that. I have been there twice and to England twice.

Cool, you sound like you get round a lot. I hate travelling (like being on the plane, at the airport, being treated like a suspicious terrorist whenever you go through security), but I love to be there.

I just need to learn how to say 'bomb' and stuff like that in arabic to make security more fun. I enjoy traveling and hopefully we'll have the money one day to fly abroad and visit some other countries.

I've been to Mexico and China besides the U.S.A. I live in California (L.A.). I've been to quite a few other states within the U.S. Also been to Korea for a very lengthy stopover on my way to China. My wife (She's Chinese) and I are planning to go back to China sometime soon and this time we are hoping to make it to Japan, Korea, and Mongolia as well. I'd really like to make it to Europe. I'd love to see the U.K., the Netherlands (Amsterdam), and Italy.

<click, click> the guns were ok with them since we were fellow Gator fans, but we still couldn't take water bottles on.

Why would they let you take your guns on board (and why would you want to shoot an alligator)? Ooooh, confused European, here. :

lol.. 1 point for the dirty american. jk.. i'm kidding about the guns and the Gators are the team for the University of Florida - both the football team and basketball team have won the national championships this year and they noticed my wife's Gator purse and told us how they were also part of the "Gator Nation" (fans of the Gators).

yea, I think trying something like that would lead to a new poll - how many times have you been arrested by airport security?

it's something to give to people you REALLY don't like. jk.. it's a military-grade explosive, quite handy at blowing up things like buildings, etc.

Oh that? I thought it was a hand-held mp3 this nice man with the gun asked me to carry through security. No wonder the security lady was rude.

Actually when it comes to college sports, football and men's basketball are the two big ones....

yea, the NFL is king of sports in the US. in college sports, it's football then basketball. going to a game is a lot of fun, aside from the parking and trying to get out of the parking..
