Glass W/led Or Plastic Fluorescent Hood

StarGirl

My hood is broken and I have been debating whether to go with glass and a LED light or The fluorescent hood I have now.

I like the look of the Fluor. better but If I want plants at some point would it be better to have the spare glass room for a possible second light? Or is a LED good for low light plants already? I was thinking the LED convertible one you can put 3 LED strips in.

I have glass with fluorescent tubes. Hardware store fixtures with 6500 k daylight bulbs.

Can you get those for the aquarium hoods? The bulbs I mean?

Generally yes. I think I got my from Lowe's for $8 for 2 4' bulbs.

That's good I really don't care for the look of LED lights. I can just get new glass covers and a bulb for the fixture and save a boat load of cash....
