Glass catfish Hiding behind wood

I bought some glass catfish about 5 days ago and they will not come out from behind a piece of driftwood
It is a large piece with a large cave behind it with many large exits. They just won’t come out. Is there a way I can entice them or have them come out more

 

is there any tank mates, how big is the tank? they may still be stressed and getting used to their new home. Is there plants?

I have a 40 gallon breeder. It’s a planted tank but only has short grasses in the front. And it has 3 swordtail females and 10 corydoras

 

Glass catfish are known to stay in a particular area they feel comfortable in, usually in a current. I have few Glass catfish in my tank, and they stay on top of the corner of tank in a group where a current flows. If you have some type of current flowing in that area that's probably why they stay there, if not there most likely just getting used to their new home, though there pretty hardy fish there also quite skittish.

 

Like neon Tetra sometimes they need a stronger fish put the front showing them it's safe, in the case of neons, rummynose tetras or other large ones normally do the job.

Perhaps ur catfish need a active strong fish for the front?

I would say yes it does seem that way when I had one glass catfish left in the tank, I brought 4 more when i put them in the tank, they all went to the glass catfish that was on the top and stayed with him.
