Glass Bloodfin Tetra - do they school as well as Bloodfin Tetra?

FishRelaxMe

HI everyone,

I recently purchased 10 x Glass Bloodfin Tetra for my 200L (55G) tank. I wanted Bloodfin Tetra, but LFS didn't have them in stock. I have had them for 10 days, but they aren't schooling.

I was wondering if they school as well as regular Bloodfin Tetra and what the behaviour differences are between the two species?

I have a moderately planted tank. They seem to hide a lot in the surface plants, but spread out across tank and don't swim together at all.

Thanks in advance!

Appreciated.

Once they get used to the tank, they will likely school very nicely. Comparing their behavior to the Bloodfin, it is pretty much identical. The two species are reported to shoal together in the wild.
