Giraffe Catfish! So cool!

I was at big al's the other day, and saw this amazing fish!
A giraffe catfish (Auchenoglanis occidentalis)!!

I reeeally wanted it, but of course, I knew better than to buy on impulse (especially at
50$) and I looked it up on my phone. Turns out it can* grow up to 3 feet and unlike what was tagged on its tank (non community) it is apparently very peaceful. It also loses it spots as it matures, and becomes dull

Anyway - I got a pic of it. That's as close as I'll be getting to owning one, I think . lol

Lol, I know! Big Als does some crazy things with their aquascapes!

Yeah, he is. Maybe in the future, if I have a larger tank. Just goes to show how important doing your research is!

 

Oh yeah! I'll bet a bunch of people regret their purchases when they don't research first! The employees at Big Box Stores just tell you " oh, it'll be fine in your tank" but they just seem to want to sell the fish.
