Gillan died horrible death

I visited my family during spring break and my roommate was taking care of my tanks. One about the 3rd day I was gone my roommate called and told me he died After coming back, I found out he accidentally turned the heater thermostat and it was terribly hot, off the scale of my thermometer. I have bought another betta, but I really feel bad about Gillan. I just got the new guy, he is light red, I guess you could call it pink, but I don't want to insult him, lol

We're sorry to hear about Gillian. May he rest in peace. I'm glad for you rescuing a new guy - will look forward to pics and his name.

 

So sorry to hear about Gillan.  It seems like only yesterday we were welcoming him to the board.  As a big fan of DP, I'll not forget how he got his name.

OTOH, welcome to your new Betta.  Let us know when you've decided on a name.

I am so sorry and send my deepest sympathies. I know how hard it is to have a loved one die and that the most lovely compliment you can pay to them is to purchase another to take their place. It indicates that you found them lovable and want more than anything to love another not to take their place but to continue to love.

I hope you are okay and we want you to know that we will remember Gillan and we encourage you to add a rememberance to our Memorial Section, if you would care to.
