Giant Ramshorn Snails

Bought some giant ramshorn snails bc I'm new to snails and thought they were normal ramshorn snails. I should have trusted my gut that said wow those are too big-
At least I'm almost positive that's what they are.
My questions are:
Will they destroy my plants?
Do they eat brown algae?
Are the babies tiny enough for dwarf puffers to eat?

I have to return one tomorrow bc it hasn't come out so its either dead or the shell is empty (it's been 7 hrs and the other one was out and about immediately so I'm assuming).
Would it be best to return them both for smaller snails since I'm planning on using them for a snail colony to feed a dwarf puffer, or would they work for the purpose?

I'm not planning on feeding it the large snails, just the babies

They won't destroy plants
Any soft algae is something they'll eat
They should be small enough

I'd wait to return it, sometimes snails will hide for a day or more. if you can get smaller ramshornn snails those will work too

Sadly my local fish store has a 48hr policy so I can't really wait. I only have a ride today, plus I need to return this pregnant guppy that stowed away xD so don't want fry in my tank XD

I just put the shell against a flash light and it looks hollow. I think I'll exchange it for something smaller and if it is in there and alive they can resell it

Well that sucks, once you pull the shell out peek inside just to be sure.
What else are you thinking of getting? Ramshornn are basically the easiest snail to breed in freshwater

It has like a door but I can't see anything beyond that. It has a lot of debris coming off it in the bag as well.

I was looking for smaller ramshorns tbh,bc they're gonna be red for my dwarf puffer. I'm hoping they have some at my lfs. If not I might try for Malaysian trumpets since dwarf puffers don't eat the shells

Edit: I just picked up the bag and stuff oozed out of the shell.. pretty sure its dead

Took it back and she confirmed it was dead. Exchanged it for trumpet snails
