What size tank do you have? They need a very large one.

Looks like a female to me, seeing as the dorsal fin is rounded. But I'm definitely no expert. If you have the aquarium for this fish, I'd love to see it, it must be a huge aquarium!

Well i don't exactly remember the measurements but as of now or for few more years it will comfortably fit in the current one.

Way to avoid the question. But I along with others will advise against getting another for the well being of the fish Until we know the size of your tank

How many gallons is the fish tank?

I mean, that can "fit" into a 5 gallon, but these things need a HUGE tank!

Your tank isn't large enough for one, let alone two. They can get up to 28", so you'll need a tank wider and taller than that, and much longer.

72x24x24 seems to be the min for this fish as has been recorded up to 2.5 ft. Even then a 2.5 ft fish will have a hard time turning in a 24 d tank. But at least you tank bigger than I assumed. food wise theyre ominvores.

    Looks like a female.

    Yea its a problem.
