Has anyone had experience with Giant Apple Snails and a carpet of Dwarf Hairgrass? I'm thinking about planting Hairgrass today but before I begin I want to make sure Ted doesn't eat it all xD

It appears that the OP does, look at the picture given lol.Do you have any live plants in with him right now?
I have 5 apple snails in my 55 gallon with DHG and they leave it alone iv never had a problem

Apple snails grow larger than mystery Snails, but both grow to a large size.IDK they eat my algae leftover food and other stuff so u may be right. What's the difference between apple and mystery snails
I'm pretty sure mystery Snails are an unidenetifed species of apple Snail, that's why it's a mystery (Snail haha, see what I did there? No? Okay.)
Pomacea Canaliculata is still a type of Apple Snail lol.Thwy are both a species of Apple snail some are more likely to turn a planted tank into salad bar and get rather large like Pomacea canaliculata
You didn't see anything...Is that not what I said they are both a species of Apple snail??
Hahaha, thanks.No worries
Wow, those fake plants look really real lol. I would see if he's eating the Moss, if he is then I wouldn't put hairgrass in thereNo live plants at the moment besides java moss! I haven't had him in this tank long enough to see if Ted is eating that or not...probably is. Thanks for the information! I'm new to snails. I saw him and grabbed him. Definetly a happy spur of the moment buy!
You could try it, but here in Indonesia's DHG is quite expensive, so it could turn into an expensive salad for Ted.They do! Love it
Yeah, good idea. Most likely wot carpet. Maybe I'll get a small amount and plant it and see how that goes. My guess is it'll a delicious snack haha
They are still apple Snails though, oncen an apple Snail always an apple snail.florida apple snails don't but any others will tare it appart
