Ghost shrimp picking on betta

Hello! Recently got a few ghost shrimp from Petco for my bettas tank. I'm pretty sure they're actual ghosties because the ones I've been able to get a good look at do have spots of color on their tail.

I made this thread because I saw when my betta rested at the bottom of the tank, the ghost seemed to scuttle up next to his tail and maybe pick at it. Not sure though.

I've been wanting to get rid of the ghosts anyways because I'm going to replace them with RCS anyways, what would be the best way to get rid of them?

I hear that Betta tails taste like filet mignon, so I'm not surprised

bringing them to an LFS is usually good, or asking around if anybody has a shrimp tank who has room for some ghosties.

What would shipping be for them?
What do you mean?
If you want them I'd be willing to give them to you, but I don't really want to pay shopping. They were cheap so they would be free besides shipping, but if shipping is any more than $2 then it's not worth it since you can get them pretty much anywhere.

I hear that true Ghost Shrimp aren't aggressive, so you may have some that are moonlighting as ghosties.

I know that whisker shrimp are often labeled as ghost shrimp in pet stores.
Isn't one way to discern them the spots of color on their tail?
I've gotten a good look at at least 2/4 of them and they do have the colors spots. That means they are ghost shrimp, right?
Here's the best picture I could get of them:

from what I hear, it's the length of the front feet/claws, and yours do look a little long to be true ghost shrimp.

I don't know but my betta killed and then ate his ghost shrimp friends

Whisker shrimp are much larger I have two whiskers and they are aggressive even to each other...
IMO, your Shrimp look like ghost shrimp... but again I don't think there is a lot of difference genetically between the two.

Thanks for all the help!
I think I will still be getting rid of them because I soon will be moving my betta to a 20 gallon along with my red cherries, and I want there only to be red cherry shrimp in there.

Keep in mind your Betta will start to hunt your cherries. So you will see fewer babies and the cherrie will hide a lot more.

Yeah, I have that in mind. It will be a large tank with lots of plants by the time I introduce the cherries. I'm only introducing the cherries once I either have a big colony or I add fish to the 20 gallon they're in right now, because then the tank will be at 72 degrees F and that's not the best if you want to breed them.
I don't mind if my betta picks off some of the babies, and so far he's not very aggressive at all. Hasn't bothered the ghosts, and they're all smaller than my cherries.
