Ghost shrimp attacking tetras??

HI so I have a 10 gallon planted aquarium with a betta, 5 tetras, 2 ghost shrimp, and a nerite snail. This has been set up for about a month or two at this point and then earlier this week I decided to get two more ghost shrimp. Within two days both of them had died and I figured it was most likely due to just them not acclimating well enough. Normally all my ghost shrimp like to hide under a little bridge I have. Earlier this morning I saw one of the tetras down there and because my aquarium is planted all I know is I saw the larger shrimp down there with him and I’m pretty sure the ghost shrimp was trying to eat it? I’ve never seen anything like this happen so I’m wondering what’s going on? I’ve heard of whisker shrimp and can really tell the difference but here are pics of my two shrimp of that helps at all. Maybe I should get some cherry shrimp?

I'm not sure what you're saying/asking here. Did your tetra die? We're the shrimp eating the dead tetra?

Well that’s the thing. I’ve been reading online and people have always been quick to say that they only eat dead fish and the fact that it’s the first time made me wonder if like that’s what I actually saw and if so like should I just get rid of the ghost shrimp and replace them or is there possibly a cause? For the mean time I kinda lowered the bridge so the tetras can't get under so they’ll be less territorial possibly?

Yeah my betta (mr. Glubbles) is real pretty and He’s still regrowing à fin from a little accident he had so I’m hopping they don’t start giving him grief too he’s so sweet he’s the most passive betta I’ve ever seen.

Also the whole problem with knowing the difference between ghost shrimp and whisker shrimp would be helpful lol I wish I knew about that before getting them!!

Are you feeding the ghost enough ?
The enjoy blood worms or pellets.

I keep ghosts with fish and shrimp smaller than they are; without any aggression.

Maybe there is not enough available protein ?

I’ve heard of whisker shrimp being sold as ghost shrimp sometimes. Whisker shrimp are much more aggressive and will attack fish now and then.

Whisker shrimp are a bit larger than ghosts and their feelers are pretty long. If that’s not the case though, it could just be that the shrimp are hunting down sick or dying fish as scavengers often do.

I hope things get figured out soon!
