Ghost Shrimp and sand

I have a small tank with some Ghost Shrimp and an Inca Snail in it. I have read that shrimp will hide in the sand. Is sand better for them and the snail or should I just stick with the rocks?

 

Ghost shrimp don't bury themselves in sand. I personally think sand is more beneficially for shrimp because they can sift through it easier to find food.

 

What fish can go with Ghost Shrimp? They are in a 10 gallon tank with an Inca Snail.

 

When I had ghost shrimp I had about 4 guppies and a few platies. I was kind of stupid and added a medication that kills inverts before I checked the fine print. They... didn't make it.

 

Any fish that can be appropriately housed in a 10 gal can go with ghost shrimp.
