Ghost/glass Catfish Questions

So I just recently started adding fish to my 30 gallon tank, after I let it cycle for almost 2 months. I currently have the following:

7 Cardinal Tetras
1 Dwarf Gourami
13 Cherry Shrimp
1 Reticulated Hillstream Loach

For the final fish I add to this aquarium, I would love a school of glass/ghost catfish. However, I have a couple questions about them. I know I'll have to establish a solid shrimp colony before introducing them, as they may pick at the RCS or their fry (I have plenty of driftwood, a large hollow rock structure, and many plants so I'm not too worried that they'll get wiped out.)

But I'm a bit confused on the difference between ghost vs glass catfish.. Also, I know they are a schooling fish, would a school of 5 glass/ghost catfish be ok in my 30 gallon, or would it be on the verge of over crowding? My tank is a cube style, I have many live plants, both planted and top floaters. Approximately the back 1/2 portion of the tank is planted with rocks, and the 1/2 front portion is open to allow room for my fish to swim.

I think that a school of five would be fine in your tank. I have seen them both labeled as glass and ghost catfish. And in my experience I would be more worried about the dwarf gourami picking at the shrimp than the glass catfish.

What are the dimensions of your tank? I have four glass/ghost cats and they use the full 3ft of the current tank they are in and are around 4 inches in length each.

Fshloover - Thanks for the advice! Fortunately I am lucky enough to have an extremely sweet dwarf gourami, my cherry shrimps will bump into him often and he doesn't even flinch or snap at them.

Mcasella - The dimensions of my tank are 19"W X 20"L, It is basically a perfect cube tank.

I know my ghosts chow down on the shrimp I have offered to them (they have even tried to eat small fry), they find food very easily with their whiskers and hit very hard when being fed frozen foods (from a pipette they slam into the scent and suck the frozen food out of the pipette).
That LxW is short so they likely won't be as active as you are hoping.

I don't think those dimensions would give them enough room to swim. They get quite large and should have a 36" long tank minimum. I also wouldn't keep them in a group of just 5.
