Hey guys. Wondering if I need to buy a GH/KH test kit for my aquariums? Or is the master kit enough?

I think you should be fine without GH/KH kit for those.

I've kept tropical communities for years without ever testing hardness & had no issues. Only a concern (I believe) if you're keeping hard-water fish (like cichlids) or lots of invertebrates which need good KH for shell/exoskeleton growth.

It's not really something you need to test every day so I would recommend just getting your water tested at a lfs for a few cents when you need it.
