Gh And Kh Hardness Too High!

Hello I’m back with another question.

So my tank seems to be fine and Betta is looking good, healthy, and active; however my GH hardness and KH hardness are around 180 and I would really like to lower them for the sake of my fish!

Is too hard of water bad or harmful to my Betta, Kratos? And if so, would any of u suggest I get a water softener pillow or something similar to help bring it down? I’m not sure if higher GH and KH are deadly but it’s kind of worrying me.

That doesn't sound too bad to me tbh - though I don't have a lot of experience. Had our tank up and running for 2+ years - the GH has never changed from 10dH (about 179ppm) and a KH of aout 5dKH (90ppm). The fish/amano shrimp have largely been happy and healthy except for a complete failure to start a colony with cherry shrimp.
I did learn, however (when researching PH swings due to CO2 injection), that sudden changes in KH/GH can shock fish so I would wait for better advice than mine before doing anything that might change these values suddenly.

From what I’ve learned it sounds good. my GH is 15dGH and 20dKH.... and I’ve been told the fish I’m wanting to stock will probably be fine because they aren’t taken from their natural habitat

Okay thank you that is good to know, I just figured it wasn’t good since my fish is a betta and they typically prefer softer water.
