Getting that betta urge

All the betta talk on here has got me missing betta fish...I just remembered...I have a 5 gallon and a 2 gallon tank sitting in our storage....I think when we move I'm going to get a couple of betta boy buddies. I miss my Nigel...he died in June. I had him for over a year...everyone else I got died in a few months....pet store betta suck...Nigel is the only one I've had who got sick 1000 times and better until last time. A tough cookie.

yup...fish are addictive. The only problem with male betta...is you can have too much with them. So you end up with a bunch of little tanks everywhere..

We have 3 female betta splendens and they're such wonderful bettas! we love them all, but the females are the best Bettas we think.

I totally had a 2 gallon setup in my hands today, I forced my self to put it back. Don't need to spend the cash and more importantly I was a Walmart and don't like to promote their fish department. It so hard to see those poor guys in their little cups. They look so sad. Hmmm Payday is Friday and I do need to stop by the old LFS. Uh Oh.............

Little girls are so sweet as long as you confine yourself to one in a tank. It is truly heartbreaking to watch them kill each other or attack and injure each other by trying to have a community tank of them.

I have had 2 female crown tail myself...I am partial to the males.

 

I am going to say, fight it, it is nothing but good lovely fish. Do what you can to not resist the betta bug, it will bite you in the night and you will be wanting bettas 24/7. Now I have even caught myself looking at the bettas every time I go to the store and I stil have to tell myself I don't have nice home for him/her.
