Getting rid of Algae in Malawi Tank

What's the best way to getting rid of algae in a MalawI Tank? I have texas holy rocks in my tank and they're covered in algae now. By the way, I keep the fluorescent hood on for 6 hours a day.

You could also take them out and dip them in a 10% Bleach Solution rinse them and return them. You shouldn't have too much of a problem after that. But I would definitely get an algae eater of some sort to your liking.

I have a common pleco too! Does a great job

As for dealing with algae in african tanks, it isn't such a bad thing, especially for the mbuna. They do seem to really like it.

I personally only clean the front glass and one side that I view. The rest I leave alone
