German Ram genetics/crossbreeding

I’ve been searching online to try and find anything about German Ram genetics and can’t seem to find much. I have been breeding rams for almost a year now and have noticed the golds seem to be less hardy and way easier to overfeed and bloat. My plan is to cross the electric blues with the golds to try and get some healthier golds. Has anyone else had experience doing this and what was the outcome, will the offspring be a mix of electrics and golds? Also if you have any links or articles about German ram genetics please share. TIA

If the cross blends 50/50 which they don't always you will end up with what they call a pearl or powder blue .

This is one of my threads .
Probably pictures of every ram color cross you ever dreamed of .
Awesome thank you I’ve been looking for some information on this and can’t find much of anything. Any suggestions on how to clean up lines? My golds seem sensitive to just about everything, bloating is my biggest issues. Feel like I’m not feeding enough but the golds still seem to bloat sometimes

What temp are you keeping them at ? I like 82+.
Next would be how often do you change water and how much?
IMO EBR are the weakest of the color variants in most cases.
Hard to find good EBR.
There should be plenty of healthy golds out there now from all the keepers working the black lines .
I had way too many good golds come from my efforts with the Pitch Blacks .

I keep the temp 83-85, and I change 25% of the water twice a day. I feel I just need to back off on feeding the golds, they get the same amount of food as the GBR and EBR but seem to bloat up much quicker. The only problem I have with the EBR is belly swimmers, not many though. I have been on the lookout for Black rams but can’t seem to find anything close to the quality of Your Pitch Black rams.
