General Cure without water changes

Hello! I did a dose of Kanaplex on Fri, Sun and Tues. I did General Cure on Sun and Tues. Gen Cure directed me to do a 25% water change 48 hours later, and put new carbon into the filter. Today is 48 hours later, and also Thanksgiving (Happy Thanksgiving!!), so I had no chance to do the 25% water change. I DID put a new carbon in tonight.
So tomorrow....when I do the 25% water change, should I put the carbon back in after, or use ANOTHER brand new carbon? I have an extra. And let me know if you would do a larger water change than 25%. I truly bought two carbons in case this kind of thing happened so if I have to use the second new one after the water change tomorrow I don’t mind. I also was told to take the carbon out after 24 hours Bc it’s not great for the fish, so here are the three options I know of:
*Remove the carbon, do the water change, and not replace the carbon?

*Do the water change and put the carbon I put in tonight back in for 24 hours

*Do the water change and put a brand new carbon in for 24 hours
**Or whatever you suggest!

It’s fine if you miss a water change. When I need to dose general cure I let it sit for about a week or so. It won’t hurt the fish. When you’re ready to remove the meds, do several big water changes over a few days then put in fresh carbon to get rid of anything left over in the water.

So if I do the 25% today should I use an entirely new carbon or the one that was new I put in last night pre water change

I have no idea how much chemicals the carbon actually pulls out. I like to do big water changes (at least 50%) a few days in a row and that seems to do the trick. My instincts say use the new carbon but I’ll defer to someone with more kn

Removing medicine generally isn't necessary. They have finite lives in aquatic environments (otherwise we wouldn't have to re-dose them).

I don't think carbon is necessary at all unless you're using it for ammonia (and there are better things for ammonia than carbon) or if your fish is having an adverse reaction to a drug and you can't do a water change.

Do you mean brand new or the one I stuck in 48 hours ago on the day I couldn’t do the water change (water change was 24 hours ago).

Yes sounds perfect! I didn’t know carbon helped ammonia, though.
