Can't help myself, more bettas, more bettas, gotta have more bettas.

These will hopefully arrive next week.

Red Crowntails, currently lost in Indonesia, were supposed to be gone from there already. I just had to have a pair of red CTs, thanks to BettaBar for finding them for me. Now if they can only be found again

Are you catching the theme here, bright colors, bringing the "fried" to fried bettas.

Halfmoon marbles with more red and... (Can't find the link to the female, but she is similar sibling female) I just love red and black together.



And finally, one more crowntail, with a little more reduction he'd be perfect.

I should get a volume discount with Fluval or PetCo. I have three more of those Spec 3 tanks ordered.

 

In short order, I started singing "I can't help myself" and then "she cried more more more!"

Because breeding Bettas yourself just gets you a lot more and faster

And gets everybody here more, too, because Betta fever is extremely contagious!

And now I really need a couple of Fluval chi's since it means fitting more Bettas in the little bit of space left at our house ...

Betta shipping confusion, I shouldn't be surprised, I'm not.

I have two pairs on the way from Julie, the red/black HMs and the orange plakats.

But the seller mixed things up with the blue CT and he was never sent, still negotiating a resolution, I might get an extra betta out of the deal, or might cancel all together.

I apparently paid too late for the red plakat to get sent, that one is one me, so he will get redirected to Koo who is still awaiting my red CTs, I haven't heard an update on them in Indonesia.

 

Lost in translation? Lost en route? Stuck in Indonesia? Reminds me too much of nightmare tourist tales!

But I would like to go to Thailand and Indonesia someday. I promise not to eat any cute fish, just possibly some giant gouramis..

 

Not only do I have trouble getting the bettas, I have trouble getting tanks. My PetCo order for 3 Fluval Specs was 11 days ago, I just contacted them and they said there was some technical glitch with the order. Supposedly they have now input the order again.

I just received the two pairs mentioned above, They look ok so far. But I have a housing shortage especially because I want to coddle the females in quarantine for a little while before subjecting them to the sorority.

So some of my older boys are in tight quarters.

Yeah, I had one living in such a tub already. LOL. More like 6 gallons but the same idea.

 

Maybe a mistake, but I diverted my remaining overseas fish to Linda's shipment this weekend. With the uncertainty in Indonesia and wanting to get my remaining fish to the same transhipper it seemed to be the best of the limited options. At least they will be stuck in Colorado rather than Indonesia. While she is terrible when it comes to customer service at least the fish seem to come out of it ok.

 

Yeah I am pretty familiar with the situation, so that was definitely your best bet. Why the airlines won't allow the shipment to Mr. Koo, I dunno.

I'm sure the fish will arrive okay, just might take a while for her to actually get them to you lol.

 

Well they did get here today. Surprisingly no problems at all with Linda.

My mystery free female looks sorta like a purple cambo but not a true cambo, similar body color as Ares's ilk. I really haven't inspected her closely yet (just stuck her in a cup for the moment).

Still sorting out where they are all going.

 

Now I'm wishing I switched too >.> After the *horrible* experience with linda I just didn't want to risk it. My guy is chillin' with Joty still, waiting on the airline approval that's supposed to come through any day now.

Looking forward to some pics once they're settled in. So, do you have enough tanks for all of them?
