GBR with Ember Tetras and Endlers?

Would a GBR eat smaller "nano" fish like Ember Tetra and Endlers? And if so, what smaller schooling fish would you recommended for a 40 gallon breeder?

Never had a problem with my GBR and Ember tetras as long as the Embers are adults, though other experiences may differ. If you don't want to risk it then I wouldn't go for it just in case.

I have ember and neons together but don't have any GBR. I wouldn't think it would be a problem but I am not sure. Other larger peaceful schooling fish, cardinal tetras, harlequin rasboras, lambchop rasboras, rummynose tetras, glowlight tetras, black neons, Are a few. ...Alison

Thanks for input! That's a good point about waiting until the Embers are fully grown. The Ram's going to be last anyway since they need a well established tank.
Alison, I've heard Neons are getting harder to keep due to declining genetic stock. We were very interested in them but haven't heard any success stories lately. That's partly why we're looking at the Embers. Did you do anything special to help yours get established?

I did a fish in cycle in a 10 gallon tank with Tetra Safe Start the one that says start up on the front. I followed the directions to the letter. I acclimated the fish to the tank , by leaving them in the bag for 30 minutes with the lights off, then opened the bag, and added 1/2 cup of tank water to the bag every 15 minutes using my stove timer, times 5. Then after the last addition I waited 15 minutes and netted them into the tank. That was a couple of years ago and I still have all 6 who now live in my 20 with the embers and other fish. I bought them from a Southern Chain pet store called Pet Supermarket. After upgrading to the 20 , I add 5 more using the same acclimation method. They are still all here. I have found them to be very hardy for me. Alison

Neat! Maybe we'll need to go back the drawing board a bit then. Though my son is particularly taken with how small the Embers are....
