Finally did it, gave into MTS ><.

Picking up a 29 gallon probably tomorrow.

What I consider the two must haves are Angelfish and Pictus catfish.

I was toying with the idea of 1x Angelfish and 3x Pictus Cats. Anything wrong with this stocking idea for a 29 gallon high? Any issues I could run into? Anything else I should consider stocking with them? (I'll have snails as the cleanup crew!)

Thank you!

Will a 29 gallon be to small for Angelfish? Would anyone know?

29 gallon will be no probs for an angel, as long as the tank is deep enough.

My male is around 20cm from the tip of top fin to bottom fin tip, and he is not full size yet. His tank is 18" tall and he has plenty of fin room in that

Not a problem for ONE Angelfish but Pictus cats are very active fish. 29 gallon high is not suitable for them as they need a long tank with lots of swimming room. I highly recommend a 55 gallon long to keep these fish.

Hello Blaen,

I think Angels should to well in a 29 gallon tank.

Noooo ><

I really don't think I can justify a 55 gallon, a 29 gallon is pushing it ><.

Thanks for the responses! I'll keep that in mind.

Just fine I would think as they only get like 3.5 inches.

German Blue Rams are not reccommended for newly cycled tanks as they are super sensitive to water quality. I tried my hand with a pair in a well established tank & kept up on water changes but was not successful. So they can be difficult. The Bolivian is not as colorful but they are not as sensitive.

Goodluck with whatever you choose.
