Gasping Help Please

I have a 75 gallon tank that we got a week ago. This is our second 75 gallon tank last one we had for 2 years before we sold it. Anyway... water gh is 40-80 kh is 20 ph reads at 6.5 n02 .5 n03 .2. And we have 2 baby jack dempesys. 5 mollies a rope fish spiney eel sun cat and a ralph cat and 30 baby guppies to feed the eel and jacks. Mollies are at the bottom gasping jacks are at the top. And eel is sticking his head out of the sand gasping. What can I do necer had this problem with our other tank.

How did you get your biological filter going?

We have a fluval 305 if that's what your asking

The tank is only a week old. Fish all added a little a day. Used quick start and conditioner.

So I'm gonna go out in a limb and say it's not cycled fully. Also, a 305 is the absoulute bare minimum for a tank that size. (I have the same problem...grr). If you can, get ahold of another and that will help keep water paremertes under control plus it airate thr tank more.

Yea I know it takes a month for the cycle. How do I go about keeping them happy. With out hurtingnthe tank compleanting its cycle. We did a 50%water change and added dolomte to it yo up ph

These are some pics. The only ones thatvare ok ar my 2 cats ans the rooe fish. The otheres are just stressed

In my experience, this could also be because of a lack of oxygen in the water. Consider getting a good air stone for that size tank so that the water is rich in oxygen for your new fish. The water could also be lacking oxygen and just general quality because of the uncycled tank.

I have the output angled where it creats oxygen flow. It splahes and has bubbles flowing though the tank.
