Gas prices...

I was reading Ken's thread about milk prices, and it got me thinking about gas prices.

The other day I paid 3.49 per gallon, not sure what it is now, but I will know in the morning.

The news media and oil companies are busy grooming us for 5.00 + gas by summer. With the distance I drive to and from work, it will be a case of "going to work to buy gas to go to work".

Anyway I was just wondering what everyone is paying for gas in their area.

$3.70-3.80 around here.
Making me hope that, when I get a job, it's a place I can bike to.

We are paying about 3.50, but it goes up and down a few cents every day. And you are right before long it will be $5.00 a gallon.

I used to really enjoy biking to and from work, but where I live and work now that would be impossible. Now it's 34 miles each way, mostly freeway.

Eight miles isn't so bad, but I wouldn't want to deal with the hills.

Just paid $3.63 yesterday at BJ's, that's with member pricing.
I drive a good 400 miles a week. Had to park my Jeep Cherokee and drive a car. Good news is I make about $100 back in mileage from work most weeks. If I work out of the main office I loose mileage.
Remember everyone, cheapest gas is on TUESDAYS.

Why tuesdays for the cheapest gas?
Gas is always cheaper on TUESDAYS, gets higher on THURS and FRI, then highest on weekend. Just the way it is. I drove professionally for over 10 years, was always the way.

We're about $4.00 in western WA. I take the city bus to school, and because I'm a minor, it's only a dollar to go 12 miles... of course, I can't drive yet, so it doesn't really matter.

We went from 3.70 to 3.91 in just 2 weeks here in central PA. I got to Sunoco a lot for stuff (its right beside my school, so my friends and I got there all the time) and I have a gas card there. About every month I save up enough to get gas for about 2.90 a gallon!

Here in Utah, the prices seem to raise a bit slower than in other places, but on the other end, they come down slower also.

Na, 8 miles is not bad.
But some mornings I go in at 430 am.
So not really the best time to be out on the roads on a bike.

For interests sake. South Africa's charge is R10.60 per Litre in non-coastal provinces.

Equivalent to $6.42 per gallon

I just paid $3.95 the other day. Most stations are $3.99-$4.12 right now.

I thought in summer was the $4... not now. XD

I hate driving through Oregon. It's expensive for gas and you can't pump your own lol

I'm just outside of Toronto, Ontario.

Paid $1.28.9 CDN / Litre yesterday.
1 Liter = 0.264 Gallons
so . . I'd need roughly 3.76 litres to get 1 gallon (yes, I'm rounding)
so . . . $4.85 CDN / gallon (a little more rounding)

Just a few portions of a penny under $4.89 / gallon

Maybe a better view - I filled the tank on my Silverado from Empty.
Cost me $115 CDN.

I paid 3.77 a gallon for hI test last Wednesday. I always buy gas at a Costal Station near where I work (about 30 miles away) since it is usually at least a nickle a gallon cheaper.

It is $1.32/L here today(or $4.99/G assuming I did the math right) Luckily I now drive a company vehicle due to my job so the commute to and from work is on company gas in a company vehicle. Happy the most distance in my own vehicle has been taken away.

That's like here, it is usually about a dime cheaper in Salt Lake City than it is here in Tooele. Also about 30 miles away.
