Are you sure they really like eating the fruit and the fish aliens are not taking it from you when you aren't looking and took it away. You might need to set up a video camera to tape what goes on when you aren't there.

That is not true. I do it all the time when the oxygen pump is broke, and the cycle is fine. Please check your facts before spreading fiction!
