This fish is mostly carnivorous, is a bottom dweller, certain species are very common in the hobby(there are lots of species) and they are egg layers.
Okay not sure if I gave the clues correctly, sorry if I didn't!
Edit: I just realized how bad my clues are ....

White cloud minnows? I guess a lot of fish breed a lot if you give them proper circumstances though.

This fish is easy to breed, I believe was discovered in 1866, and is very common in the hobby.
