Galaxy Koi: Color Change Over Time

Hello! I’ve been keeping betta fish for a long time but have never kept a galaxy koi. I love how they look and am thinking of purchasing a higher grade one from bettasquad USA. However, if the galaxy koi will end up being a solid color overtime, I will order one of their dumbo halfmoons instead. I just don’t have experience with galaxy koi’s but I know my other bettas change slightly over time so I’m curious how much color change I could expect :)
When I spoke with the breeders at bettasquad they said if I did not feed the betta color enhancing pellets it would keep the color longer- is this true?
Also side note: I just found the KGTropicals website for betta and I’ve heard good things. Does anyone have experience with them or betta squad U.S.A.? Or another good place to purchase bettas online :)

I had a koi marble, it changed colors constantly but did become a solid color.

This makes me nervous because they are so expensive because of their current coloration I’ll have to think on it

Pretty much never ever in the history of ever has a marble betta NOT changed as it ages. I actually don't think it's possible for them to stay the same. I bred koi bettas for years, THEY ALWAYS CHANGE. I imported hundreds from Indonesia, and because of the shipping schedule I'd often have to wait a month between buying the fish and actually receiving the fish. Quite often just in that time frame, the fish had changed from when I'd seen and bought it. So if you don't want it to change, stay away from marble bettas (aka koi). It will change.

I'm embarrassed to see I mispoke. I should have said mine never became a solid color, the colors it started with shifted around.
