funny cory story

HI everyone well I just got some bronze corys they are just tiny. Well anyway every time when I feed them they try and protect their food they even scare away my dwarf gouramis which are about 50 times bigger than them. Lol its so funny coz they are just so small. I love corys.
And just a question I have 3 corys now in a 20 gal tank, could I get 3 more ? I have got neon tetras and 1 angelfish and 1 dwarf gourami in it that's all. Corys are just funny. Do they play more when their in bigger groups like 6?

yes they play more but your bio load cannot support all those fish at adult size.if you took your angel back you could get 2 more

 

I would say yes, if the angelfish is small still. Angelfish do not need to be kept in anything smaller than a 29 gallon tank at adulthood. If it is still only like an inch or two now you could save up some money and in a few months (4-8 months) buy a bigger one.... or ask for it for the holidays if you celebrate them. Enjoy your cories!

 

welcome to fishlore.. the corys are even more fun when you have 6 of them.. and a great tank for your angel would be a 30 gallon tall, since they love tall tanks. a pair could go in there with a cleaning crew or compatible tank mates.

Yes they do thrive in higher numbers, and if you want to see them be really funny, set up part of your tank with sand. Its priceless to watch them plunge there heads in and blow little sand explosions while looking for food.

I think I anwered your posting pics questions in another thread. If their too big the for will tell you it is too big
yes you could have a couple more Corys at this point in time but I like to advise people to only keep what they have room for at adult sizes. So right now figuring adult sizes of your fish you don't have room for more Corys. WHEN you get a bigger tank then you could get more. Life has a way of interfering with our hobbys and I would hate for you to get more and not be able to get a bigger tank and then be overstocked and your fish miserable or sick.
