Funny Betta Moment

Hello all,
So yesterday I ordered a 'betta hammock' after my betta spent most of its time trying to find a comfortable way lie down on my thermometre XD. It came and after reading the instructions it claimed 'one must train their betta to use the betta hammock' and I thought 'ugh, more useless products' but after installing it in my tank I went to fetch some pellets to start 'training'. Was gone a minute or two. Walked up to my tank to see my betta out like a light on the betta hammock. My betta must REALLY be lazy. He only gets up from it occasionally to prance round his tank flaring at the plants. His personality has really come out in the few days I've had him.

I just bought the same leaf hammock and my betta refuses to use it! He seems to prefer his house:

 

I've had my Betta leaf for almost a year, and only my Otto has ever used it (only once it fell off the side and onto the gravel). My betas have grazes it, but have never sat or laid down on it.

 

I fully expected someone to say that their betta would only play with the box it came in
