Hey everyone. So i posted about one of my danio being bloated, looks like another dropsy case but ive removed her today because she was hardly swimming and the others wont leave her alone so shes in a bucket she looks like she has a patch of fungus! Should i now treat the whole tank? Or wait to see if anyone develops any? They are fine at the moment no fungus. This is my third case of dropsy i dont know if its because they are old? Ammonia is 0 nitrite is 0 and nitrate is 20, has three.filters going. So its not bad water! They are around 2/3 so could it just be they've gotten ill.from being weak?

If the patch of fungus is small i wouldn't worry about it for a week or two. If a fish is bitten or scrape itself frequently a small amount of fungus will grow but as the fish heals the fungus will just go away.

Danios are a popular mass produced fish. Based on the frequent sick Danio posts on the forums, its apparent that the once semi indestructible Danios are no longer as hardy.
IMO, no need to medicate the main tank. Fungus can be minor abrasion related, or a secondary infection to a bacterial disease.

So i thought give it a couple of hours and the fish would of passed away. But no just got home six hours later and she's still alive but literally just floating with her nose down barely breathing. I don't know if I try to treat for dropsy but i think shes too far gone. I have no clove oil to euthanize
