Fungus On Angelfish Eggs.

I’ve had this pair of angelfish for 2 months and they’ve had two spawns and both failed. I know one is male and one is female because I’ve seen the breeding tubes out. The first spawn turned all white. The second one though had quite a few eggs with black on the inside but grew fungus on them anyway. It’s unlikely that I do have fungus in my water. All my water parameters are fine and I do regular water changes. I have grow out tanks and micro worms ready for fry but no fry. I’m open to anything. I was thinking about 3 options:

Getting another male.

Adding anti-fungus.

Taking the eggs out after fertilization.

Are your Angels a mated pair? Have you seen the male actually fertilize the eggs? Are the Angels fanning the eggs?
I had success by putting an airstone at a low flow rate directly under where the eggs were laid, the slight current created helped prevent the eggs from going fungal.

They are not a mated pair. I have seen the male fertilize the eggs. The take turns pecking before laying the eggs and take turns fanning the eggs. I do have an air stone available. When I got them I got the two that met the requirements I had read for being male and female. I got them both at max size so they are both of breeding age. I’ll try the air stone next time. But a main issue I’m having is they eat all the eggs after about 2 days.

At least the two are producing viable spawn. It is not uncommon for Angels to eat their eggs, especially if they feel the spawn is threatened by other predators. You might try putting a spawning slate in the tank for them. When the lay and fertilize the spawn move the slate into a waiting and cycled breeding / grow out tank (with the airstone as described earlier.

Angelfish that are just learning the ropes of spawning will often eat their eggs, the last female I had that spawned she never ate her eggs, but she did eat the fry when she got stressed out (I got her a new mate, then sold the pair - they spawned 6-7 days after the last time she spawned with a different male and were always so gentle with each other).
If you can get a slate and let them lay on it and remove it to another container to hatch with methylene blue and a bubbler. The meth blue prevents fungus from growing and is not harmful to the hatching fry.
There is no such thing a mated or bonded pair of angels because given another angel they like the traits of better they will spawn with it over their previous mate.
