Fundulopanchax gardneri female

So I was told when I purchased my male and female that they would be hard to breed in a community tank. Well I thought that my female was having babies but it was one of my other female guppies. Well my female looks like its about to pop out a babies and it has this white string looking stuff coming out of it and it's very red in that one area. I have no idea what's going on with her. The reason I thought she was having babies was because the male hasn't left her side except when she's hanging out at the top of the tank. Please someeone give me some information on what's going on with her.

Do you have a separate tank you could move her to? I would start treatment for parasites.

 

She did have a parasite but it was to far gone so I had to take her out now I just have to watch my other fish I didn't notice there was another fish that wasn't doing so good so I'm keeping an eye out hope not to lose any others. Any advice on catching it early?

 

Noticing the redness and white stringy poop earlier might have helped.

These killifish lay eggs so she couldn't be pregnant. She could be full of eggs, but it could also have been constipation or bloat.
