Fun at the Adoption Event

We had an adoption event yesterday through the local animal shelter. We had 3 dogs and 5 cats/kittens adopted.

The pup with the bandana is Daisy. She's my foster that was heartworm positive, but has now completed her treatment and is ready for her forever home. She got jealous that I was putting sunglasses on another dog so she wanted her "diva picture".

The bully mix is still available. He has this awesome personality and we wanted to make him look less intimidating. He was more than willing to cooperate. LOL. He has a goofy personality I have found quite common in many of the "bully breeds".

 

Love those pictures. Glad to hear some were adopted.

Our local shelter is a no kill facility and does a lot for animals. Not too long ago they drove to California and saved many animals from being put down. I am always sending people there who are looking for pets.

 

great news on the new homes found. nice to meet a fellow foster carer we also foster dogs for our local rescue, hard to let them go but soooo rewarding at the same time.

 

Glad some of those adorable pupsters and kitties found forever homes!

We've decided that Daisy belongs at a biker rally. The new adoption coordinator is thinking about it. We're thinking all the laid back dogs that don't mind playing dress-up to get them in biker gear and do an adoption event. Every one of my fosters will play dress-up (one of the benefits of fostering bully breeds)

And you're gonna have to take pics of the dogs dressed up for the biker rally... are any of the dogs going to be wearing fake tattoos? It'd be really funny if you could manage that!

 

Great to hear about the adoptions. I got two rescues myself. I would like to be a foster home but I'm not good at teaching a dog good manners... haha.
