Frozen Diet Staple For Betta Splendens?

HI all! So, for the first year of having my bettas I have fed them an all pellet diet in addition to freeze dried food, as a treat. The last few months I have switched to feeding them the super carnivore frozen food by Omaga One, which are cubes of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and bloodworms. I have seen great results! So, I want to hear everyone else's thoughts on feeding bettas primarily frozen food vs. pellets or other types.

They are missing some valuable nutrients added to flake and pellet foods. Feeding frozen strictly won’t be healthy for fish in the long term.

Interesting. Would it be better to alternate between pellets and frozen?

Flake and pellet are essentially the same thing.

Yes it would be best to alternate between frozen and pellets. If you can find Vitachem or Nourish in your area, you can soak your frozen foods and pellets for extra nutrients.

Cool! Now, do I have to soak it in that stuff, or is plain water okay?

Plain tank water is fine. As a staple, I still feed mine pellets. HikarI and New Life Spectrum to be exact. As for frozen, I use bloodworms, mosquito larvae and daphnia, depending on what I feel like feeding my community tank.

Daphnia is one I'd suggest feeding once a week. Bettas love it and it also helps them digest.
