"Freshwater" Tiger Moray eel

MattB72

Just ordered a freshwater tiger moray eel that's from Indonesia. And now I'm reading alot of conflicting information about them. Can I put it in freshwater or do I need to convert my tank to brackish?! It will be here Friday

Nope. It’s one of the true morays that stay fully freshwater its enitre life.

Awesome looking eel. What size tank are you putting him/her into? Will it be just the eel or other inhabitants? Just curious.

Its going into a 75 gallon for now by itself until it puts a little size on and then into a 240 gallon with the rest of my bigger fish fire eels, tire trek, bichirs. Just want to make sure he's big enough he's not going to have any issues with getting picked on
